The Flood ... and the man on the roof

I often forget that there are some who will not hear ... because it's not meant for them to hear ... and that we are only capable of seeing and hearing by the frequency of that Positive Light and Love, inside of us ... and I also remember ... that it is the Divine Spirit Energy that allows even this ...

This reminded me of a story of the man who was sitting on his roof because the neighborhood was flooded ...

He had trust in God ... that his son would soon come and rescue him ...

During the time he waited in the heat there up on the roof ...he watched a log, a tree branch and an over turned canoe... come close enough for him to reach out and grab hold of ...

But the man kept saying "Lord... I'm trusting in you to get my son here and take me off this roof" ..

Needless to say that the man perished there under the blazing sun on the hot roof ... and when he saw the face of his Saviour ... he said Lord why didn't you let my son come and rescue me ...

Then the Lord said ... my dearly beloved child ... the first angle I sent ... reported that he guided a secure log in the currents of the water .... but you didn't even attempt to grasp hold ....

So I sent him back ... and he returned with reports that you didn't grasp the great tree branch that he also guided down your way ...

Then his Lord said ... I was a little concerned .... but I didn't give up ... so I sent the angel back one more time ... but when the angel returned with the report that the canoe actually bumped the roof, and you still just let the opportunity pass you by ...

I then said to the Angel ... just stand by my child ... and bring him home when it's over ...

So you see ... sometimes the right path in life ... may not be the path we want to take ... or we may not recognize the path when it comes along ... but one thing I am sure of .... when it's allllllllllll over .... I'll be going home ...
